On Easter-Sunday combined service, the upwardly mobile young General-Overseer (G.O.) hauled N3.5m for Ophans & Widows.
The next day, the G.O. and his pastors met to share the funds among the parishes. “The Lord is good,” said the G.O. “All-the-time,” thundered his pastors. Each one had a plan. G.O. called a car-dealer last night. Pastor ThankGod’s house rent was due. Pastor Ebuka’s traditional wedding was around the corner.
“Last night”, continued the G.O. “The lord told me that the money raised yesterday should be kept away for-a-while.”
“Guy, forget that thing,” Pastor Ebuka mumbled under his breath.
“It’s-well,” Pastor ThankGod whispered to himself. (©pda.files)
